Welcome to Boundarymoor
Our kennel is a small concern run under the "Affix" Boundarymoor, we only produce the very best in working spaniels for Trialling or Shooting. With careful selection of Dams and proven Sires. Boundarymoor is not a commercial concern, we only breed to improve or enhance conformation and style in a particular line. From time to time we have puppies or trained dogs for sale. For inclusion onto our waiting list for a pup please visit the contact page of West Lancs Gundogs.
April 2008 Tearsol Scott of Bottlingwood x Bottlingwood Starlight - produced a litter of (7) English Springer Spaniels 5 dogs and 2 bitches. Since their sale I see most pups back at training classes or in the shooting field. I initially ran a dog and a bitch on from this litter, for some time until situations dictated that the bitch be sold. The bitch (Boundarymoor Breeze) is doing very well in her new home. The dog (Boundarymoor Tangled Gorse) has also developed into a really nice dog, with style and a kind nature, a dream to work. Awards to date as follows:- 1st Place - Novice A/V Spaniel Test in Broughton held by the Gwynedd Spaniel Club and awarded the Hawarden Cup 2nd Place - Open A/V Spaniel Test on Anglesey with the Arfon Working Gundog Society 4th Place - Open A/V Spaniel Charity GWT at Bolton-with-Boland 2nd Place - Inter Society Open Test (Representing the Gwynedd) BASC Game Fair Bodelwyddan North Wales
April 2009 FTCH Saturn's Spirit x Bottlingwood Starlight - produced a litter of (8) English Springer Spaniels 2 dogs and 6 bitches. I do see the pups on a regualr basis, all learning and pushing on in Training Classes. All have different characters, two or three will make Trialling standards. The rest will be very good Shooting dogs. From this litter I initially kept two bitches back. My intention was to decide which would make the grade. A good friend of mine enquired after a bitch and I decided to sell Boundarymoor Ruby to him, a very dark well coloured bitch with bags of drive. I am aware that she is doing really well after a bedding in process. Boundarymoor Pearl the bitch I kept, is showing all the signs of becoming a nice bitch too, she hunts well with lots of drive and enthusiasm. She is a keen retriever but suffers with selective deafness from time to time. (June 2010) Pearl has now run her 1st Novice Test, although not placed (due to dropping her dummy on a return, again her speed letting her down) we received very promising comments from the Judges on the day, Eddie Atkinson and Adrian Slater who will be looking out for her this coming trial season.
April 2010 FTCH Wetlands Abe x FTCH Wernffrwd Mai - produced a litter back in February 2010, of which Priorsmeadow Bumi (Cocker Dog) now resides at Boundarymoor. Even at this young age this little chap is showing all the right signs by showing his natural ability in retrieving and hunting. To say we are very excited about this litter is an understatement, he is progressing well. August 2010 - Since the arrival of the pup, I have taken him everywhere, he will walk a plank, on the ground and over a ditch, through water, over cover, nothing seems to faze him. I take a retrieve or three every day from him, he'll sit on command and is generally doing everything thats asked of him. I am expecting any moment that something will happen and knock him back, but, to date we seem to be doing ok.
