WELCOME TO WEST LANCS GUNDOGS

Nick Powell is the founder of West Lancs & Boundarymoor Gundogs based in Ormskirk, West Lancashire. Nick is you're first point of call once an enquiry has been made.

Initially your first appointment is an assessment, of both handler and dog. This allows everyone a chance to see what is required with regards to training and to see the techniques we use. It also gives the handler a chance to familiarise themselves with the surroundings and other class participants. Equipment will be discussed and if required supplied, e.g. Whistle, Slip Lead, Training Dummies and WLG Game Carry-BagTM.
(collars are not used in training)

Due to demand we now cater for different levels of competency, therefore you may see several smaller groups operating, this is so that we meet everyone’s needs such as puppy work (socialisation) through to advanced gundog training. We try to keep ability rather than age together as best we can. When attending please be responsible and carry with you at all times poo bags and clean up after your dog.
